The Houndry pet beds are made with great care using Sunbrella performance fabrics. To ensure a long and happy life for your product, we recommend that you follow these simple care instructions:

Washing:

Remove the fabric cover from the bed and close all zippers. Machine wash the cover in cold water with mild detergent. Remove from washer and let air dry. Do not wash the insert of the bed.

Since this bed was made using Sunbrella fabric, which is an indoor/outdoor performance fabric, it dries quite quickly on its own.

Difficult Stains:

Ironing:

If fabric has some wrinkling, use an iron on the synthetic setting. As iron temperatures may vary, first test a small inconspicuous area before ironing the entire piece. DO NOT use a steamer or an iron set to the steam setting.

About The Houndry:

The Houndry was launched because of a need the founders recognized right in their own homes. They wanted their furry children to have a great bed to sleep on, but also wanted that bed to not look like an after-thought in the design of their homes. With that in mind, they set out to design a pet bed that was beautiful, comfortable and easy to care for.

Fabrics

The Houndry only uses high performance fabrics made by Sunbrella. True to its reputation, Sunbrella stands up to whatever you can throw at it (or on it). It’s easy to clean, refuses to fade, and resists mold, mildew, and moisture. This beloved and trusted fabric maintains a soft hand even with its hardworking properties. All bed covers zip off and are 100% machine washable.

Sustainability

All bed materials and manufacturing processes are environmentally conscious and cruelty-free. Bed fabric is made by Sunbrella, a 138-year old family owned company rooted in sustainability throughout the manufacturing of fiber, yarn, and fabric. The Houndry ‘leather’ labels are made of PU materials and bed inserts are crafted of a super soft proprietary fill made of recycled plastic bottles. Their orthopedic foam is CertiPur-US certified as well. Making choices to use environmentally responsible materials and manufacturing is very important to The Houndry. Customers can rest assured they are making a positive impact on the planet and its animals.

Made in the USA

The Houndry beds are made to order in Marietta, Georgia. Skilled tailors take a single bed from start to finish, sewing the fabric body, the piping or flange details, zippers, and finally, The Houndry branded label. 

Round Bed Sizing:

We recommend measuring your sleeping pet to find the perfect bed size. Pets that curl up to sleep can usually fit on a smaller bed, while those that stretch out need a larger bed.

To determine the ideal bed length, measure your pet in their typical sleeping position, then add 6” - 10” for the final bed size. When in doubt, we suggest ordering one size up. Please double check that you have chosen the correct size before placing your order.

Small: 24”L x 24”W x 8”H (dogs less than 30 lb)

Medium: 31”L x 31”W x 8”H (dogs 30 - 60 lb)

Large: 41”L x 41”W x 10”H (dogs 60 - 90 lb)

X-Large: 48”L x 48”W x 11”H (dogs over 90 lb)
